The story of Duncan Watch Co. began forty years ago in the back of a Houston-area coin shop. Ken Duncan Sr. and his brothers built a rare coin and jewelry company from humble beginnings, growing it into one of the nation’s largest rare coin firms and creating a vast network of collectibles dealers nationwide. Their success was anchored by four core principles: honesty, integrity, value, and trust – a philosophy that still guides the company today.

With a legacy that spans over four decades, these values continue to shape every transaction. A commitment to excellence remains the cornerstone of the business, which has expanded well beyond rare coins.

After opening a storefront on I-10 in 1995, the product line soon included luxury jewelry, sports memorabilia, and eventually watches. In the early 2000s, a new generation of Duncans took over the reins. Having grown up in and around the business, Ken Jr. and Matthew Duncan developed a deep appreciation for collectibles and a passion for horology. That passion led to the formation of Duncan Watch Co., with a focus on luxury timepieces to better serve the Houston area while staying true to the company’s founding values.

Today, Duncan Watch Co. operates from a secure, inviting brick-and-mortar location in the heart of Houston, alongside U.S. Coins and Jewelry. The new location offers private rooms for consultation and examination, creating a haven for watch and coin enthusiasts alike.
